Can I just come out and visit?

What do I need to do to join the club?

Fill out a membership application, either printed from this link or when you come out to visit us.

Fill out the Liability Waiver sheet, either printed from this link or when you come out to visit us.

Bring a check or enough cash to cover:

One year's dues of $720 ($360 for Youth, age 22 or younger) At our discretion we can take 6 months upfront and 6 later.

Soaring Society of America dues (or proof of membership) $80 ($45 for Youth, age 22 or younger)

The flying for the first day, around $120

Bring water, a hat, a camera and the proper clothes for the current Southern Nevada weather.

Bring a government issued picture ID, any logbooks or FAA certificates that you already have.
If I am a licensed glider pilot can I get a tow from you or fly one of your gliders?

We can tow you in your own glider if you have a license and current Flight Review and you are a member of another club that participates in the SSA club insurance program.

In addition to the tow fees you will pay a Visiting Membership fee of $20 per day, up to a maximum of $60 in any 30 day period.

Check in with a club instructor and take a local orientation flight at his/her discretion.

The 2-33 and 1-26 are available for visiting members to rent if approved by a club instructor.
