| The Mortenson Award |
Description
The Mortenson Award was established to recognize the longest flight originating from Jean, NV,
by a club member. It was established to honor Phillip "Mort" Mortenson, one of the founding members
of the club and strong advocate of cross-country soaring. The member with the longest flight will
receive the award at the annual club banquet.
